Beliefs
We are a Restoration Movement Church. Read our statement of belief here.
"We are a non-denominational church, committed to basic Christianity as it is expressed in the Bible. We are committed to basic Christian unity among all who profess Jesus Christ as Lord. We receive the Bible as God’s Word, and it is our final authority and only rule for faith and living. We want to live our lives as fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, leading others to trust in Him. We state our purpose very simply: Point people to Christ - Transform people into Christlikeness - Serve as Jesus would serve.
Our members accept Jesus Christ as the Living and only Son of God, Savior and Lord.
(John 3:16; 1st Corinthians 15:1-8)
We believe the Bible is the revelation of God’s work and will for us. The Bible alone is our final authority and only rule of faith and practice. (2nd Timothy 3:16; Psalm 119)
We are a free church with Christ as our leader. We are not ruled by any denominational authority, but seek to live under the direction of God’s Holy Spirit. We appoint Elders, Deacons, and others to help lead us toward Christ. We determine our own policies, voluntarily cooperating with other Christians in fulfilling our Lord’s Great Commission to make disciples of all people. (1st Timothy 3:1-7; 1st Peter 5:1-4)
We practice baptism as taught and demonstrated in the Scriptures as being a necessary condition, along with faith, confession and repentance, for receiving the free gift of salvation. Baptism by immersion is the symbol of Christ’s own death, burial and resurrection. We also acknowledge that none of these conditions, in and of themselves, is sufficient for the assurance of salvation. We are saved by the grace of God because Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins. (Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9; Ephesians 2:8-10)
We share in the communion of the Lord’s Supper each week, as was the custom of the early church.
We provide Biblically based Christ-centered messages and life application, and teach that the fruit of a life devoted to Jesus will reflect a desire to become more and more obedient to what He taught.
(1st John 2:3-6)
We believe all persons of all ethnicities to be created in the image of God and need the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
This explanation of our beliefs and practices is not meant to be comprehensive, but only introductory. We understand that it may not answer all your questions. We encourage you to participate in our Living Point series of classes where we discuss this in much more detail."
